EyesProtector is planned for global App Store distribution. Storefront timing may differ; the China App Store may launch later than other regions. Features and pricing can vary by country.

FAQ

Can the App treat myopia or restore accommodation?

No. EyesProtector is a habit reminder and glasses workflow companion—not a medical device and not a substitute for refraction or clinical care.

Why is there no master off switch for look-away?

Look-away runs during work hours by design. Use rest pause, off-work mode, or mute-for-today to shelve reminders.

What is free vs paid?

The core loop (look-away rhythm and shelving, pairing plan, local diary / adherence, Smart Pause) is intended to work without a paid purchase. Multi-device iCloud sync may be a paid capability—see the App Store product page for SKUs, price, and trials in your region.

How do purchases and refunds work?

Purchases go through Apple. Manage or cancel subscriptions under your Apple ID → Subscriptions. Refunds follow Apple’s process and local law.

iCloud sync failed or the switch rolled back?

  1. Sign in under System Settings / Settings → Apple ID → iCloud (not only the App Store).
  2. Confirm iCloud is available for your account and region.
  3. Open the App’s Sync page, turn sync off, then on again.
  4. If enable fails, the App rolls the switch back so you are not left in a half-on state.

Smart Pause not working?

  • Focus-based pause needs Focus Status permission where the OS requires it.
  • Frontmost-app pause is primarily a Mac feature; check the app list and toggles in Settings.
  • Meeting-app presets are a starting point—add or remove apps as needed.

Notifications missing?

Allow notifications for EyesProtector in system settings. Shelving modes (pause / off-work / mute today) intentionally suppress prompts.

Strict / overlay mode hard to exit?

Use the on-screen unlock / dismiss flow. Force-quitting the App ends the process; reopen from Launchpad, Spotlight, or the Home Screen.
